I would like to know if anyone has used gonal-f and if they were successful with it or recommend another fertility drug? Thanks.

I am currently on Gonal-F doing the FSH treatment + an IUI. Fortunately, I have had no side effects to the drug - how about you? Are you using it for IVF or FSH? I was scheduled for my IUI on Saturday but it has been postponed till Monday so that my levels can further increase and my eggs mature a little more. I have read many infertilty couples have much success with Gonal-F ... wish you all the best!

what does gonal-f do?

I am not currently using it but I am looking into it. Please let me know your outcome. I was not successful with clomid and IUI for 2 months. I'll be moving on if no success this month. Thanks.

If you are doing the FSH treatment as I am plus and IUI or IVF, one needs to start taking Lupron on the 21st day of the cycle. Then about two weeks or so later you will get your period. You are then to go for blood work and an ultrasound (blood work on 2nd or 3rd day/ultrasound on fourth) Once you have had yur ultrasound then Gonal-F is introduce. You continue to take the Lupron.
Lupron surpresses your hormones from releasing your eggs as they mature with the Gonal-F. While on the medications depending on your doctor you will have to go for blood work and ultrasounds every three to five days (I go every four days for blood work and every five for ultrasound). Once your eggs are matured enough then you are to give yourself the Ovidrel and approximately 36 hours later you are either having an IUI or having your eggs extracted for IVF.

Hi! I lurk here often. I used gonal-f and repronex and micro-dose lupron. Two successful cycles (DD in 2003 and DD in 2005)

I haven't used Gonal-f, but I did use Follistim & on my third cycle of it, I got pregnant with my DS.
