This Is My Third Week On Kariva, I Haven't Taken Bc In Five Years. This Morning I Have Noticed That My Breasts Hurt To Touch Them. Is This Normal? Isn't That Signs Of Pregnancy? I Wouldn't Be Bothered If I Was Prego, I Am Only On Bc To Treat My Endometriosis.

Will Someone Please Let Me Know What They Think!

Breast tenderness and swelling is a common side effect when starting birth control. It should go away.

I had painful swollen breasts the entire time I was on Loestrin FE 24. Depenes on the pill. For some the side effect goes away for others it stays.

When I say swollen and hurt I mean swollen and hurt. The water while taking a shower would hurt when it would hit my breasts.

As a side effect, it doesn't always go away. Sometimes it does, but more often than not, it's a side effect that continues and possibly gets more noticeable. I found that in my case, I had this problem very frequently, particularly in the week before my period was scheduled. It was really, really bad. But now that I have stopped taking the pill, I find that any breast discomfort is minimal, and only lasts for about a day instead of the week it used to be while I was on the Pill.

I recently started Yasmin after not taking BC for over a year and before that I took it for one month and was not on any BC for three years prior to that, but as I started Yasmin this month which is supposed to be a low dose pill, my breast were totally swollen and hurting, I was also VERY tired to a point where I didn't have the energy to exercise and I found my heart was beating very hard, even at night I would feel my heart beating so hard as if it was vibrating in my throat, I was so worried that I went for an ECG not thinking the pill would have such an effect and the ECG was perfect. When I used to take BC years ago I took Microgynon and felt normal with zero side effects....these things tell me BC cannot be good for you...I'm thinking of coming off already. I am currently in my tablet free week, breasts not swollen or hurting, i am full of energy and heart is back to normal...
