Okay I went to the dentist on Monday to some filling done. The porcedure was nothing but nice. I've had fillings done before but the was the worst I've ever go through. The dentist was VERY rough I could feel every thing he did. I the weird thing is that I could feel the nocacaine needle in my tongue...was this normal?? So it's thursday and my tongue is still numb. I called the emergancy number for the dentist and they said that it might be permenent damage. I was supposed to go in the today but I can't get a ride. What am I supposed to do?? I can't taste anything I eat, my jaw hurts every time I touch it and it feels like it's out of place. Please give me any opinion you might have on this. Thanks

Ive gone through something similar. After my wisdom teeth were removed I had perminent nerve damage on my tounge and at first it was numb...so numb that I would bite it, couldnt taste anything and it would tingle from time to time. A year later its gone from numb to other end of the spectrum....WAY TOO SENSITVE! The SOB always hurts now.
I also had a filling done a week and a half ago and the needle left my jaw tight and painful. I have no idea why this is but you are not alone in this....let me know how it goes for you.

Well, i've talked to some of my friends and they suggest that I go to the dentist that did the procedure to see if they can diagnose the problem and if it's perment nerve damage to get a lawyer.
