Can anyone tell me....for you MS'ers, when you refer to hot showers and weather making your symptoms more pronounced, is this only when you are in an active flare, or is this all the time?
Just curious.
Thanks,
Connie

Hi Connie. Its all the time. Hot Showers and Jaccuzzis as well as hot, humid weather can bring on a flare-up or relapse. You need to avoid them, always, at all costs! Youll notice that during a flare-up its even worse, however even when you feel GREAT, a hot shower can make you fatigued, give you headaches and even eye strain problems.
Hope this helps.

Ok, now I know why I seem to get headaches in the mornings! I have learned to take cooler showers now and it does help alot. The weather has been very hot here and I have had a tough time staying cool.
The headaches I get are very weird. I get them at the base (occipital?) of my head, and the pain travels down my neck too. Sometimes the numbness returns for a few hrs in my arm and leg also.
I still have to go for my MRI. My sister's baby shower was yesterday, and my mom needed ALOT of help, so I guess I had to put "me" on the backburner. But it was a good thing. I found on the MRI slip that he forgot to note that he wanted me to have contrast. I called the nurse and said the facility wanted to know if i needed it or not (I know, I'm sneaky..lol), and sure enough he had it in his notes, but forgot to jot it on the RX.
Anyways, thanks for explaining that Nik. :)
