Everyone's eyes are better after the surgery. You have gone from -7.00 (20/2000) before surgery to -1.00 (20/40) after surgery so your eyes are much better. However, you and I are amoung the unfortunate 15% who have not improved enough to see 20/20 uncorrected after the surgery. So you either have to get glasses (at much lower prescription than before) or you have to get an enhancement done to get you to 20/20. However, doctors will make you wait at least 3 months to get the enhancement done and they won't do it if you have too little conrneal tissue left or if you are better than 20/40 at 3 months. So for the next 3 months minimum you have to live in blurryville or get glasses.

Most people (85%) get excellent results from Lasik and never bother to visit web sites like this. It seems everyone has problems, that is because people come to sites like this only when they have less than sastisfactory results.

By the way, your doctor and everyone on here will keep telling you "to give it more time" but with Lasik, if you aren't 20/20 by the end of week one, you will not be. PRK takes much longer, but you had Lasik. Also, look for the doctor to tell you that you are "20/20" but you know you don't see as well as you did with glasses before. Therefore, ask him to tell you what your refraction is, i.e. -1.00, etc, they can't lie about that. A lot of doctors tell you "20/20" and that "you are doing great" in the hope you will go away.

I had Lasik in my right eye 2 months ago. Got lousy results. Went from -4.5 to -1.25 (about 20/50). I am hoping to have an enhancement at 6 months (mid nov), but I have thin corneas so they may not be able to do it. Very disappointed in my results.

I had standard intralase 2 months ago and couldn't be happier. I'm enjoying my new vision very much. ;)

I had Lasik (Intralase) on Wed and was 20/15rt, 20/20 Lt on my exam Thurs morning. I could actually see almost perfect within 1 hr in my rt eye and about 5-6 hours in my left. I was -3.25 both eyes prior. I'm healing great and no side effects that I no about so far. My only complaint would be the valium was not strong enough...I was very alert for the entire process and started getting anxious about halfway through

Yes! Hooray!
My asstigmatism in both eyes was HORRIBLE! I've worn glasses for 20 years. I had Intralase done 3 weeks ago. I had a follow-up visit a couple of days ago, and my vision was 20/15 in both eyes.

The day after my procedure, I drove 6 and a half hours to the beach. I'm LOVING it!

I still see some mild halos around some lights at night, but it has gotten progressively better everyday.

Don't wanna discourage you but i had 20/15 right away and conserved the same result (some people loose sometime 1 or 2 line and need enhancement after few months) with WAVEFRONT lasik, but blurry vision and star-burst (night time) gonna improve in the next year...you have to be patient. With lasik it's not sure you'll get 20/20 vision but you can still have another surgery if you had an high prescription(wich is not my case, about -2.5) Do you have a guaranty on your surgery? I know you can buy plan (for 1 year,2 or 3 years?why??? i guess you just need 1 year for the possible need of an enhancement) at certain clinics... Mine is a life time guaranteed (with custom [wavefront] lasik) but i paid 3300CAD...

Good luck

P.S. Tear drops are very important for the healing process.
