Hello there. I'm 21, and have very randomly placed teeth. When I was young, I had very normally placed teeth. When I was three, I fell off of a stool that I was sitting on and hit my mouth on a furnace. Now, none of my teeth are where they are supposed to be. I have two layers of teeth (think like a shark, or something along those lines), a tooth in the middle of my mouth and severely malaligned teeth in general. It's severe enough that my teeth cause me to slur a bit when I talk because they interfere with how my tongue moves. My teeth are relatively yellow because brushing does not adequately clean them.

What are my options for doing something about my teeth? They're very embarasssing, and I've wanted nothing more than to have them fixed for several years now.

Obviously you would have to see a dentist and be examined to learn what options would work in your particlular case. Assuming there was no structural damage to your jaw from the accident when you were 3 yrs old - those teeth should have fallen out and 2nd teeth would have other replaced them eventually - so chances are this developed b/c you either did not lose your baby or 1st teeth or your teeth are just too crowded due to a small mouth. There are also other dental conditions that can cause erroneously placed teeth. I would imagine that removal of some teeth and then braces to move the remaining teeth would be involved and probably the best option in terms of alignment and bite, speaking, etc as well as appearance.
