Hello
I have always worn nail polish and I take it off and put it right back on.
If I take it off and leave my nails without polish my nails are in major pain
for the next day or two. It's strange because while the polish is on, it doesn't hurt it's only when I take it off. Now, I wear it for a week and keep it off for a few days. That way I avoid the pain.
Does anyone know what the pain is all about?
Thanks

It could be a variety of things: A sensitivity to polish remover or it could be that your nails build up an excessive amount of moisture under the polish. When the polish is removed, the excess moisture can evaporate quickly, causing the nail palte to 'shrink' and grip the nail bed. Yes, thisis painful! To alleviate this, after you remove your polish, rehydrate, conditionand moisturize the nails with a good quality nail and cuticle oil such as Botanical Oil from Sally Beauty Supply.
