Can anyone recommend a good hair conditioner? I have highlighted hair so it is a little dry and frizzy from that.

Thanks!

hi! dry and frizzy hair....my fave is REDKEN extreme line, it helps repair and replace protein back into the hair shaft. i like to mix the Extreme deep conditioner with Redken All Soft conditioner and leave on for a few minutes. you get repair and smoothing from both. my hair is naturally curly, colored/highlighted-often (i work in a salon), and i use a flat iron a lot. i really like those products. anything with keratin or protein in the product is great to repair hair, since that is what hair is made of. with frizz, use some smoothing serums when it's wet out of the shower to help control it-i like Paul Mitchell super skinny.!

good luck!

I've also heard good about Redken all soft but haven't used it myself! I'm a college student on a budget so I can't spend too much.. my hair got overbleached from a highlight job once at a new salon and was pretty damaged. I kept having breakage and it looked frizzy at first! I used Loreal Vive Pro Nutri Gloss products for long hair that is damaged.. it totally turned my hair around. I still have the conditioning treatment that I use every now and then but now the products were actually too moisturizing since my hair is normal again. I was surprised how much it helped my hair for a great price. I actually was using Biolage's fortifying conditioner and shampoo for weak hair and it did not help much.. then I switched the the Loreal.

Thanks for the suggestions. I haven't tried either of those suggested, I am going to try the Loreal one first (cheaper).:)

I have long highlighted hair and believe the L'Oréal Professionnel line to be phenomenal. I alternate between the Lumino Contrast Radiance Masque, Vitamino Color, and Intense Repair. I am also fond of Kiehls Olive Fruit Deep Conditioner and Redken's Smooth Down series--both the butter and regular conditioner. I also prime my hair w/ the Heat Glide serum before blow drying. It has macadamia oil in it which makes for a nice scent. I have also become a recent fan of John Frieda's Luminous Color Glaze in clear shine. It does a marvelous job of keeping your color treated hair shiny.

I agree with the above posts, the Redken All Soft line is amazing! I use the shampoo and conditioner on and off with Biolage Conditioning Balm. Both work really well. If you are looking for a cheaper brand (I've been a poor college student not too long ago too) I really like the Neutrogena total moisture. I always get compliments on how great my hair smells when I use that, and it moisturizes really well!

I have also been using L'Oreal Professional Vitamino Color Shampoo and conditioner. I've been using these for almost two months, and I love it.My hair has never been so soft and managable.I use the mousse too, which gives a lot of volume. They're expensive products, but they work so well. :)

Redken didn't work that well on my hair but I do use their sun protector spray-on conditioner when I got to the pool-- it is supposed to protect your hair from chlorine. I got Aquage from my hair dresser and it seems to work better for me. It is expensive but the grocery store stuff is not always as good on color treated hair. I would recommend getting a bottle of some good stuff from your salon and alternating uses with cheaper stuff. You should find the color looking better for longer.

Infusium23 (Moistur)ologie is great. I just started using it and like it a lot. You only need a small amount of the conditioner, even if you have long hair. It's great and much cheaper than Redken.
I used to use Extreme, but there's no way that I can afford that anymore at this point. Infusium23 works better than Redken Extreme imo.
