Hi Everyone...

I'm hoping someone could help me, my mother who is 70 years old and in good health started complaining last night about feeling pressure behind her eye and she was seeing flashes of light, now today she only had it slightly with a mild headache. so far no more today. Now she has been working long hours (she works parttime at a candy store) over the Christmas holiday and I thought maybe it was stress or tension causing this. She goes twice a year for a glacoma test and always had good results. If anyone could give me any information, I would appreciate it, We lost my dad a year ago, so I get even more worried about my mom.

Thank you
AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wave.gif

hopefully it is nothing serious. i would suggest getting evaluated by an opthalmologist based on the flashing and pain...better safe than sorry. best wishes, S

Hi Reds1261, How is your mom? I just read your post. Have you called the physician or gone in. sometimes these headaches can be a sign of something serious like an impending stroke. Don't mean to alarm you but just thought I'd say since something like this preceded my uncle's major stroke. Also, I agree that she should check out the eyes also. Let me know how your mom is doing. Thanks, Rebeckah
