my doctor said to wait a week, so i waited a week. for several weeks, i was extra careful about putting on eyeshadow, i only ever use liner on the lower lid anyway, and i didn't use as much mascara. i also only used baby wipes to remove my eye makeup so i wouldn't run the risk of getting soap in my eyes. i was very paranoid about getting water in my eyes prematurely, and rubbing my eyes, and accidentally touching them (i wore contacts for almost 20 years prior to my surgery last december, and so i was ALWAYS touching my eyes!).... anyway, i probably would've waited longer, but we had an appointment for our family christmas pictures at the one week mark, so i kind of HAD to wear makeup that day! :)
