Hello,
About six months ago, my dad developed a large floater in his left eye. It was really bothersome but not at all painful. In the past month or so, the floater has lead to a "macular fold" which means (from what I understand) that the back of his eye has folded up to totally blur the vision in this eye. He can barely see out of it, and it is starting to effect his job performance, ability to watch movies or enjoy other daily events, and his overall mood.
I really am hurting for him.....he is so depressed and the doctors aren't giving him much hope. There is a painful and extensive surgery that MAY help a bit, but will never restore his sight to what it was even a month ago. Is anyone familiar with this condition that might be able to offer insight or advice? He is so upset and I want to help him. Thanks in advance.
