The thing is is that I have horrible skin. I get pimples often and I have lots of scars from my teen years of popping my pimples. Well now I need a foundation that covers up and I mean SERIOUSLY covers up. I don't care the brand or the price I just want to find a foundation that makes my face close to flawless.

I've always wanted to try out the Merle Norman so that's good to know! I use Bare Minerals makeup, but it's time consuming if you have a lot of spots to cover.. but I figured out a way around this. I buy a stick concealer/foundation and apply that over my skin FIRST, then dust on the mineral makeup. It looks great. Right now I'm using one by Flirt that you can buy at Kohl's.

Check out CoverFX foundation. I use NaturalFX which has the lightest coverage. They do have a mineral foundation and a heavier version-more coverage. I have sensitive skin and it does not irritate it. I really like this foundation although it is not cheap. It is around $30-35.00. Hope this helps!

Well if you have a lot of spots I dont know if any foundation is going to really do the trick alone for ya. You'll need to use a concealer as well. I used to use stick concealers because I thought the thicker the better. Now I just discovered ConcealRX from physicians formula. Were talking serious coverage and you dont have to use a lot at all. Even the smallest amount you may think you use it enough for your whole face (well I guess depending on your situation). Its supposed to be compairable to Amazing concealer from Amazing cosmetics (which Ive never heard of until now but apparently its good stuff too and this is just as good), but...Its really a godsend for me.

Hey I actually checked out that CoverFX stuff and it looks pretty good. I read some people thought the regular stuff looked too cakey or pastey so does the NaturalFX have pretty good coverage as well??

The NaturalFX is the lightest coverage but it does cover. I use it because I have some blotchiness. You only need a tiny amount. My skin is more dry in the winter months so I apply a moisturizer first, makes it blend better. . It is worth checking out. Maybe the cosmetician will give you a sample to try before buying, worth looking into. The do have a wide range of colors for cool, neutral, olive/yellow and darker skin tones.
They actually came out with SkinTintFX this summer. It's like a tinted moisturizer which is great for summer, humid weather. What I do is apply a concealer to the blotchy areas and apply the SkinTintFx over top. Works well for me.

I have some bad spots that I have been told are from adult acne. Joy right! I have used lots of make and recetly have been using Revolon color stay, then w sponge using Mary Kay it makes it look a little more natural and not so fake and cakey. But I use Estee Lauder loose powder and Estee Lauder press powder (double Matt) Estee Lauder makes a cream called clear difference and it really works and makes a big diff not a moisturizer just a primer. Its very expensive but It works.
Good luck, this is terribly frustrating, I am with you sister on that.
