Well I will start by answering a number of Questions.

Elsye because I am listed as a part-time employee looks like the insurance will do go into effect for 1 year. So I maybe looking for another job. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/redface.gif(
Anyway working on the appointment with the specialist. Since I know him thru my fathers visits I hope to work out a payment plan.

Christine the h-pylori is a bacteria that lives in your stomach. Causes a wide range of problems. The reason I want tested is because for years I have had problems with being sick to my stomach. Plus heartburn. also my father was tested positive for it. It can be passed a number of ways his doctor said all family members should be tested if having any stomach problems. Plus after reading about it on the net I found out about the link to Rosacea. Seems like a number of people with Rosacea got better after testing and treatment for h-pylori. The test is a simple blood test. It takes 7 to 10 days to get the results according to the lab they send it too. Plus I guess you may have read about Ocular Rosacea.

Ok now to explain myself about Bad day for Dry eyes.
For starts I have been doing better. Doing to eye wash with baby shampoo 2 times a day. Letting my hair grow out so not to use hairspray (which seemed to be making mine worse). Stopped all eye make-up. Using once a day allergy medication. Plus using allergy eye drops. All this was helping until today.
For starts we are having very odd weather for this time of the year. Hit 60 the past 2 days. But today was very windy.Gust to 35 miles per hour. Which really got to my eyes. Then to top that off I went to get my hair trimed up and do not ask me why but she put me under a drier (you know the ones that cover you whole head) I could feel my eyes start getting mucus in them the lids dryed up so bad by the time I left I looked like I was having a very bad allergy day. So I am back to cool compresses and in hopes of getting to bed early tonight so they can rest up for tomorrow.

Ok thats my update. Hope everyone is having a better day than I.
Holding my chin high in hopes that tomorrow is better

I forgot one thing. Why does it have a listing for your icq number? I put mine on the sign up sheet, but it will not show up.
Looks like we should be able to icq each other. Or are our choices just sending messages here?

Sigh......when is it EVER a good day for dry eyes? LOL

I am not sure about the ICQ thing. I don't understand why they would ask for our ICQ numbers if they aren't going to post them for all to see.

I do sympathize with you about being put under the dryer. I have to do it when I get my hair ironed straight. I have found that the best way to avoid the severe dryness of the eyes that comes with being put under a hair dryer is to ask the shampoo girl for a cold, wet cloth to put over your eyes while you are under the dryer. Basically, just use a cold compress while you are under the dryer.

Also, make sure that the allergy pill that you are taking is not going to dry you out. Any sort of anti-histamine or decongestant will dry out your eyes. I know that if you take it, it might make your allergies better, which might in turn help the eyes. But at the same time, you can dry your eyes out even more. It's a real "catch 22". Ya just can't win! I take 4mg chlortrimeton once a day when needed, and it doesn't seem to bother my eyes too badly. It's the lowest dosage you can get.

Anyway, speaking of eye mucus... I can hardly see right now because I have got so much of it. I better go look in the mirror!

Hope you have a better day tomorrow!

Elyse

P.S. Have you thought of getting some kind of prescription goggles to protect your eyes from the wind, to wear just when you are outside? I am seriously considering it.
