View Full Version : Something in my eye?

I have "something" in my left eye. It has been there for almost two weeks. I see it all the time. It looks like a small hair (from my eye's perspective). It almost looks like I am looking through a microscope at an organism moving around on the slide (I can kind of see through it). It stays in pretty much the same place. It is not visible to others. In fact, I saw an eye doctor two days ago and he couldn't see anything. He did tell me it had something to do with the vitreous fluid in the eye. He said, quote "Life causes it". He said it will always be there and that I should get used to it. It is very annoying. I don't feel any pain with this although, my eye feels "different" than the other. Any help out there?
Thanks.

I also have "floaters" that I see and no one else can. I have gotten use to them and I hardly even notice anymore. If are feeling like you have something in your eye you may have sctatched it. If thats the case it will usually feel better after only a few days. Sorry I'm not much help.

I did a bit of research on the web last night after posting this message. Seems as though they are "floaters". Looks like I am going to have to live with them. It is, though, very bothersome. Hopefully by the time summer comes I will have been used to them. Otherwise, I will look somewhat odd swatting at mosquitos that aren't there! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/hammer.gif
