Can someone tell me if lipo is a real shock like electric? and does it affect heart when you get it done.?

It can have some minimal effect on the heart but not really. It is a soundwave that they direct at your kidneys to break up the stones. It is not a schock like they use to restart your heart.

I'm not sure about the effects on the heart, but my husband has an ICD (Internal defiberaltor). I read that if he has to have litho that they will need to have some one there to turn it off before the procedure and to turn it back on after the procedure. If you have any heart conditions make sure your Dr knows ahead of time.

I did find out that they time te lipo shocks by your heart beat.it has to be in time or it can cause irrg or heart beat problems.
