I have a concern and I need any and all advice or information that anyone is willing to offer. I will try to be as brief as possible.
After suffering through “events”, that may or may not been seizures, I was instructed to have a CT scan of my head, with contrast. Upon completing same, I received the following information from the hospital.
“FINDINGS: There is a questionable subtle 1cm enhancing lesion in the right occipital lobe with possible vasogenic edema. Further workup with MRI is recommended.”
The MRI has been scheduled for next week. In the mean time, I am worrying myself sick over what this all means. Has anyone been through this, or know of someone who has? Is there cause for major concern? Should they decide to remove this “lesion”, what kind of procedure are we talking about? Surgical operation or do they use lasers now?
Please, can anyone put this into layman’s terms so the average person can understand just what is going on and what this all means?
Thanks!
