Too much has been going on with me, went to my Tdoc and she seems to think I'm taking in all of my disorders without using an outlet. I miss you guys terribly, I don't do well with change so it takes me a while to get the nerve to post.. I don't think I could explain my situation again for people to understand me, it's hard and I'm scared.

We are here for support; understand that when I say this.

If you feel up to it, just explain how you are feeling right now.

No pressure; take your time and go at your own pace.

Hi Dee-nah,
I know what you mean about all of the changes. It's been very hard to get used to. I so miss the bat, etc...

As far as what your therapist said, I think she's right. I think that is a huge problem that some of us face. We deal with all of this junk from day to day and if we don't have healthy coping skills, outlets, etc... that is when what we deal with becomes too much to handle. The stress that we feel has to come out somehow. So, if we don't find healthy, productive ways to release some of the pressure, it usually ends up manifesting in other ways.

Hang in there, please. I hope your dad and sister-in-law are doing well. Are you posting over on the cancer board about this? If not, it might help. You are trying to carry a huge load right now.

Take care,
Beka

Dee....we're all here for you. changes are tough. It throws us more off balance. Don't worry about explaining who you are. There are enough of us here that know. When you feel up to it, be in touch.

ICC, I'm going through a med change today, for some reason my eye sight is getting worse then better. I'm really nervous about this, I know I'm going to have a lot of adjusting to do.

Thank you for pointing out about explaining myself.. I just don't have it in me to go through that again.

My new med is Geodon, I have to take that and the Tegretol for 3 days just to ween myself off the Teg.. He said I might get sick again but hopefully Geodon will be my perfect "cocktail".. He did some testing on my eyes and said that it was one of the worst he has seen in a long time, I guess he had to see it for himself, grrrr!

Dee:

Under the upper left hand corner, at the top of this page is the healthboards.com search feature.

Please input the word Geodon to see what others had to say about this drug.

Thank Ryan,

I just did a search and it doesn't seem that bad (no more worse then what I've been on)... This will be my 4th stablizer, I'm not getting my hopes up but hopefully this will be it. I think he finally realized just how med sensitive I am especially with these nasty side effects. I guess I had to physically show him I couldn't take it, he did all kinds of testing on my eyes. I can't stress how important it is to be stablized on your meds so you can work on yourself.. The only thing I kept on thinking was "this is setting me back"...

Dee....med changes cause so much upset in our system. I have full confidence that you will find the right "cocktail" Hopefully you have. Dr.s for some reason don't like to listen at times. Especially when it comes to meds and their side effects that they feel we should just sit tight and put up with until they stop, if they do. it's very frustrating. You're strong. Keep at it. you'll find peace.

Dee:

You are so right.

I just researched and the increased dosage of Trazadone is causing my stomach pain.

It interferes with my recuperative process; the semblance I have anyway.

It can defininitely be a deterrant.

Keep us posted.

Ryan,,,,I had multiple problems with Trazadone. Dizzy, so I couldn't drive, blurry vision, extremem stomach pains, and to boot it never helped me sleep. Alot of people like it. I saw nothing good in it.

Grasshopper:

That's it, you may as well name the medication Traz a "done" because I am literally not taking that anymore; it just doesn't agree with me either.

I am not saying that it is good or bad; it just doesn't agree with me.

Trazodone works really well for me... That is funny! Just goes to show you everyone reacts differently!

Absolutely Dee!!! I believe it is a combo of our metabolism, health issues, age, and emotional disorders that make us all so different when it comes to meds.
