Hello everyone,
I posted on Womens Health but just now found this and thought I would get more help here.
Just would like peoples opinion on the following. I am 50 and have been going through menopause. April 2006 I had a light period. Nothing again until very mild spotting for 2 days in Oct 2006. I was not sure if it was that or just irritation of the vaginal tissue due to thinning out. Gyno was sure I am pretty much menopausal. I went for my yearly pap and checkup (all fine) in May and on the second day after that I had a full blown period with heavy bleeding. I called him and he said that sometimes happens from the pap. Then a month later a normal period again. I called and I had to go see him. I had a trans vaginal ultrasound that checked out good he said. There was a tiny cyst on my left ovary (he said was because of going through menopause) and the lining of my utereus was 6mm. They like it to be 5 mm or less in menopausal women so he did an endometrial aspiration or biopsy (boy that hurt ) He said everything looked good cause he felt if there was something wrong he usually gets a ton of tissue and my specimen was very little and not thick and such. Now I am waiting the results . Any one out there with any information and smarts on this. Please let me know!!! Thank you so much.
