I'm going for a screening/tests in a few days for ADD and I've been trying to find information on how the process will actually work?
What type of tests are done??
What can I expect?

Thank-you

My daughter (19) went in for testing a couple of weeks ago. The psychologist talked to her for about 1 1/2 hours about her life and her experiences in school and work. He asked her a lot of questions regarding her reactions to things, agitation levels, activity levels and general behaviors. Her father and I then had to fill out a questionnaire with 60+ questions regarding her behavior. She had to assess herself as well. He then compiled the answers and came up with an ADHD diagnosis. After that we had to make an appointment with our family doctor to start medication. Well worth all the appointments and waiting...she seems to be doing great on the Strattera.

My experience was similar except before the diagnosis I had to go through about 3hrs (2 sessions of one and a half hours) of testing. All sorts of tests from memorization, noticing changes in pictures, lets see.. there was a test on definitions of words (she asked me to explain a word how I would expect to see it in the dictionary), it's rather hard to explain all of them. None of them are terrible, just do your best and it works out fine.
