Hi all...
I have long been suffering with right upper quadrant pain and nausea. I am 32, overweight, female, and have a family history of gallbladder issues. My ultrasound was free of stones, but my HIDA scan w/ CCK came back at 8.3%. (I picked up a copy of the report from the radiology facility. My doctor's office has yet to call me, which is very frustrating.)
My question is....how abnormal is this? Is my next step a gastroenterologist or surgeon? How likely is the surgeon to want to remove my gallbladder? I truly believe it's at the root of my troubles.
Any insight would be great. Thanks.
