Not that I know of. The only way to find out that I know of is to call SS (either your DO if you can get someone on the phone or the 800 #). Depending on your state, the DDS may also give you the info (although they generally do not b/c their decision can be altered or reversed by SS).

I went to the website for an update. They wanted a confirmation number which I never got. So I had to call them. All they would tell me at the time was that it was pending. Got denied though.

Hello, yes there is a way to check on your ssdi case..like the last poster stated you have to go to the ssd web site..I not sure I can post it or not so I wont..but i can tell you how to find out.

you should have gotten a thick letter from ssd when you filed for ssd..
the letter is your copy of your applacation.
also it should contain a sheet that tells you your case workers name and phone # also, the web site address and confirmation number so that you can go online and check the status of your case. if you do not have this information call your case worker and she/he can give it to you.

in order to check the status of your clain on line you must have your confirmation number and your ss#

I had my phone interview today. The man who did the interview asked if I'd like to check the status of my claiim on-line. I said yes. He told me that I'd be getting a letter in the mail with a password on it. I was to use the pass word to get in, then change it to my own password. I think you have to ask for this during your interview.
