I'm going for my MRI today. With contrast. I am going to ask for my own set of copies of the study as some of you suggested so I have a record myself.
I'm not nervous, its just an MRI which I've had before.
But am curious if its going to show anything. I have been down and out for the past 3 days. Felt awful, been in bed mostly. Had lots of tremors and shaking and a lot of pain.
Anyway, I'm going to call the dr. office when I get back and ask them to reschedule my appointment closer than Sept. 12. I've been so sick, I can't do ANYTHING and I can't live like this for another 40something days.

Just wanted to say that i hope the MRI went OK today..............They can be a little scary but just try and imagine your somewhere you'd love to be!!

Well it went ok. I did ask when they went to put the contrast in, if they could take the cage off my face for a few min. I had started to get a bit claustrophobic. But for the most part, I just kept my eyes shut and listed to the music they had playing. And the few minutes without that cage over my head really helped.
I won't get the results back until Sept. But they did tell me they have no problem giving me copies of it.
We've been joking that it does indeed prove I DO have a brain as there have always been some doubts. :)

How long did yr MRI take. I'm going 2mrw for mine, its been a yr since my last one. You spoke about music. Thats great cause you just reminded me to take my own CD's with me. Hope its good news for you. Wait to hear yr results . Take care

They told me it would take an hour, but it took about 30-40 min. from start to finish. They did break it up so that I could move around. The first part was 10 min. then they said I could move my arms, legs, etc. to get more comfy. Then the next phase was about 20 min. then they took a break to get a vein for the contrast and then the last part was about 10 min. or so. My appt. was at 11, and they took me in pretty much right on the stroke and I was out of there at about 11:50, so not bad.
Good luck with yours. I also didn't have to get undressed like I was expecting too.

ok cool. Thanks for that. I just threw on a trackie this morning and slip on shoes thinkin i've have to strip into one of their designer white hospital ball gowns.. haha yep i wish they were that good.
At least they let you have a break, remember my last one, i was in there for what seemed like ages. That when i got up i was so unbalanced form numdness i tripped. I so so embarrassed but i least i laughed. I'll remember to hold on this time lol..
