Since i was little (am now 25) I have this thing where I always see tiny (pinpoint tiny) dots, like static on a TV but much smaller. They are like transparent so they dont cover objects but it is more like the objects are made up of them. It is easily noticed on less-busy surfaces (like a plain wall) or in a dark area.
Is this just normal eye function that I'm just sensitive too (my mom says she sees them too, but only if she really concentrates) or is something wrong? I "see" it also when my eyes are closed so I cannot get away from it. Sometimes i feel it will drive me insane but mostly it doesn't bother me.
Please let me know. I am planning to have my eyes checked. Oh, and my glasses dont make it better. It seems unrelated to focus.

OK, let's try this. Type George Farmer visual snow into Google and you'll get the address.

I tried searching for that and didnt get much. Just that it was related to migranes, which i dont have. Just stare at a vacant wall and then let your eyes relax and stare "around" it. Its hard to explain. Ive had it so long i thought it was just normal. I am very sensitive to a lot of things, so im told. Stuff others dont feel.
But im still concerned. Please tell me what visual snow is.

What a pain in the butt this is just trying to help somebody (not your fault). Snow or static describes the little dots you see.

Follow the instructions above again and get back to that site. You'll see in the top left corner Visual Snow or Static; under that is Visual Snow; under that is Re:Roll Call. Click on the first, topmost Visual Snow or Static. You'll get a forum with 625 posts.
