My 3 year old son is currently being weaned onto Lamictal. Then we will start to slowly wean him off of Keppra.
Currently, he is taking one 25 mg pill in the evenings and half a pill in the mornings. He also takes 1.0 ml of Keppra 2 times a day. We just started the morning doses of Lamictal a week early because of sudden severe studdering (it was his nuerologists suggestion).
This morning after his morning dose, he was getting dressed and I noticed a small rash on his right shoulder. I called the nuerologist who instructed me to go to his pedicatrician.
I went and after he saw the rash, decided it wasn't severe and suggested to the neurologist that we go back to one pill a day for a week, then add half a pill again and see what happens. He also gave me samples of Lacoid Lipocream for the rash which I have been applying. The rash does not seem to make my son itchy, but he is very ill-mannered today.
I have pics but it won't seem to let me post the url's to them. Does anyone know what I can do about that?
If the rash is worse in the morning I am supposed to call the neurologist. He gets his dose of L and K this evening.
Since it seems to be spreading, should I be worried? Is there anything else I should be looking out for? Thanks in advance for any help!
