I was there for 4hrs testing. It was very unusual, the tests I was given. I don't know how some of it is going to tell if I'm considered depressed. We talked about my past, growing up. We talked about all the medications I've been on and still taking. It was the first time I talked to an outsider about my past, it actually felt good. I know there's not much info here, but I thought I'd share. If you like to ask a question please feel free.

myreason for wanting to go is two folded, I want to learn how to help him and I can't do that unless I help myself,I have panic attacks, hypothydroidism which causes some mild depression.
Question for you, how do ya know if you pick a good Dr.. I'm worried a bad one might mess me up worse than I am. best of luck to you,It takes courage to go for help.

To be honest with you, I was sent to this psychologist for my SSD case. Maybe you can ask friends if they know anyone they trust. I was amazed when talking to friends how many of them were seeing one and on medication. Take care
