I've recently had punctal plugs put in my tear ducts ( the kind that go way down into the duct-so they don't fall out) since then my eyes have itched terribly...I find myself wanting to take my finger nail and scratch the heck out of my lower eyelid...right in the inner corner.

I realize this coincides with allergy season, but I've never had seasonal allergies before. My eye doc. said wait it out a few more weeks to see if it gets better. has anyone else experienced this with the plugs??

also...should there be a really obvious differnece with the plugs..I can't really tell if they're helping or not!!

1.the plugs may have inched back upwards to the puntum. (doubtful)

2.you're developing an allergic reaction to the plugs.(most likely)

3. you're developing a mild infection. (unlikely)

You may want to ask your eye doc about the eyedrop "PATANOL"

It is for eye irritation, and is very effective.
