View Full Version : Do your eye ducts get swollen?

The other day I was examining my eye, the area where the burning pain seems to be coming from. I looked at my upper eyelid on my right eye (the eye that was irritated that day) and noticed a little bump in my innner eyelid. I figured it was my eye duct on my upper eyelid (or slightly under it). The other eye which was not irritated had no duct that was visible, so I assumed it wasn't swollen but there. So now whenever an eye is in pain, the duct is also visible as a little white speck. Do the rest of you have this kind of experience with dry eye as well? Does that mean I can have those upper ducts plugged and I'll be fine?

P.S. I posted earlier regarding how my opthamologist thinks my dryness comes from my acne medication, but I find it strange that only one eye at a time is irritated each day and it switches every so often.
