Has anyone else had a blocked salivary gland? I have at the moment and it is danged painful. When I chew even soft foods it pumps up and swells even more. I have had it before, but have always just waited for it to pass. This time however, it is taking days. Does anyone know of any simple remedy? I have tried squirting lemon juice into my mouth to stimulate a rush of saliva, but that has not cleared it.

I had a blocked salivary gland once when I was younger, and it lasted for months, and I had to have surgery on it so they could widen the salivary gland opening enough that whatever was blocking it would come out.
Now I have one salivary gland with a really huge opening.
But no, I don't mean to scare you with talking about surgery, but if it lasts, you may have to see a doctor.
