I seen my doctor for other unrelated issues and he was concerned about my recent weight loss (15-20 lbs in 3 to 4 months now). At 1st he thought I had an eating disorder and I got offended and told him I dont. He asked me some questions and told me he thinks I have esophagitis with a stricture and gave me medicine. He also told me to make an apt with my gastrenterologist, which I did and have an apt for an endoscopy on aug 1st. However, my question is: since I had this problem I have a VERY poor appetite and have been nauseous/ vomiting frequently ( where the weight loss is coming from) so is there anything that will help with that until my appointment in August? I tried peptobismal and rolaids but they dont help. Also are there certain foods that I should/ shouldnt eat? And last question, what really causes a stricture (I am only 23 yrs old)?

thanks
mel
