What is the average time they keep you in the hospital for a masectomy? I guess they send you home the same day you have a lumpectomy. Wouldn't it be less stressful if they kept you longer? thanks.

Hi,
I was in my room around 5:00p.m. after my mast and they wanted to send me home the next day but I got to stay an extra day. But they usually want you to leave in one day which I think is totally crazy.

I also think it is crazy. If those responsible for this had to go thru it things would be different. Hope you're doing ok. Thanks.
