Hi Diz--I know this is easy for me to say, but DO NOT DESPAIR!!! THERE IS AN ANSWER TO THIS!!!!! You could have a bunch of different sensitivities that make you feel like a one-man band!!! Have you contacted a good allergist?? A good gastroenterologist?? Have you had someone go with you to the doctor to validate what you are saying??? Have you contacted a neurologist for the headaches and even had your thyroid or reproductive glands checked?? It's wrong to say to put all of this in the care of a psychiatrist, but I understand how you feel. I, too, have suffered from depression, but once i was trying to quit the last two addictive chemicals over the past 6 or 7 years(caffeine and nicotine) and stop my anti-depressants for a bit, all the things that were wrong with me came to the forefront because they were not being buried under layers of chemicals. I systematically wrote down every symptom just like you did and first took it to my allergist who has saved my sanity on many occasions. They have found that I am allergic/sensitive to food dyes, food additives, foods with natural histamine, etc. and the more that I worked on those things, the less headaches, stomach aches, nausea, anxiety and depression I had. God bless the allergist. Next came the indigestion and hives. I just found out the other day it's my gall bladder not working and I'm sure the poisonous bile is backing up in me so that issue is next. Each issue was validated and I believe every word you say. You are not losing your mind! I don't know if you believe in God, but I will say a prayer to Him that you find a small amount of comfort this weekend and week and have strength to be able to put one foot in front of the other to make even one call to the right doctor. God bless and take care & write again if you need to--Hopeto--

I have a follow up with the allergist on Monday. How do you figure out if you're allergic to food dyes, food additives, foods with natural histamine, etc? Is that something they normally test for or someting you have to request?
I have had a Neurologist do an MRI . . . negative.
I have seen a Gateronologist with all negative results from colonoscopy, ERG, and biopsies . . . I am persuing a 2nd opinion from a new GI doc.
I am seeing an Endocrinologist for the first time this week.
I have seen several other specialists.
I'm at the end of my rope. I don't want to hear that there is "nothing wrong with me" anymore. There IS something wrong with me; VERY wrong. And if it's not found soon . . . I just don't have much hope left. It's been too long. I can't live like this.
I do believe in God. He is the only reason (and my daughter) that I havn't "offed" myself already. :(

I quit smoking (after 6 years), quit drinking, and got off birth control . . . all 2 months before my symptoms hit full force. I wonder if there is a corralation. Even if there were, it's not like some idiot doctor would know . . .

Have you had a glucose tolerance test done to check for diabetes? Is diabetes in your family?
The stomach can create a lot of havoc with the rest of the body, so getting the proper treatment for it might very well eliminate some of those symptoms.
If you have parasites in the intestines, you could be having malabsorption of nutrients.
I wish you well,
Ish

I can relate to how you are feeling. I have been having similar weird symptoms after eating as well...the dizziness/lightheaded feeling is the worst...makes me feel drunk all the time! I have been using hubbys glucose monitor to see if it was possibly diabetes, but all the numbers have been within normal range. I was tested for Celiac disease--also normal. Thyroid was also normal. I am going back to my dr. on Wednesday, where I will probably be told I am stressed---which I AM NOT! I know something is not right but trying to figure it out is driving me nuts!
Sorry I wasn't much help, but I know how you are feeling...don't give up hope! Keep searching, you WILL find an answer!

No, I don't believe I have had a glucose tolerance test. I am seeing an Endocrinologist for the first time this Monday. I will ask him to do that test.
Thank you.
P.S. I have no idea if diabetes is in my family; not that I know of. ? I'm not that close with my family.

I'm very sorry to hear you are having the same problems. It is a difficult thiing to live with; it's really not even a "life" at all. I have also been checked for diabites, Celiac, and Thyroid, which were all negative. Not to mention, MRI, Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Several Blood Tests, and much more . . . with no results. I am not crazy; I am very sick. And I'm very tired of being very sick. :(

I hear ya! It is no way to live. I have 3 kids to look after and it is becoming more and more difficult. I had the endoscopy done and it came back as chronic gastritis which makes me feel nauseous as well. I had my Gallbladder removed almost 3 years ago and the dizziness/lightheaded etc. began. I had an MRI because I thought it was a brain tumor or something--negative. I seen an ENT and was dismissed and told to go back and see my regular dr. My dr. thinks it "all in my head" or I am "stressed" which doesn't help things. He is willing to do tests I ask for but I would prefer he have a better attitude towards me!
Anyhow, enough ranting. I do hope you find out what is wrong and if you do PLEASE do post. I will do the same if I find out.

Oh, believe me, IF I do find out what is wrong with me, I will tell the WHOLE WORLD!!! NO ONE, and I mean NO one should have to suffer like this . . . EVER!

Hi Diz--Do you drink spring water? I also recently found out that I'm sensitive to the chloride and nitrates in the tap water and once I started drinking spring water, I started feeeling better. I suppose being in recvoery, they say you can't do the same things you used to do, and that meant for me stripping my body of every drug and chemical agent I could think of to see what I could have and what I couldn't. You're actually in kind of a "rebirth". That's how I found out about the dyes. I ate Popsicles one day and was covered with hives. It's a stinker being trial and error, but you'd be surprised the list of things that you find you can't have. Even had to give up soda. Sodium benzoate gave me hives, too. For me, it's back to basics. Can't even eat ketchup or barbecue sauce--loaded with red 40. There are sites on the internet that will tell you the histamine lists. May God bless and write again if I can help. Take care--Hopeto--
