well it is UP TO your doc to actually find out.thats just stupid,"i don't know"?this is just part of his job as your doc.if you don't know something you just consult with another doc who does,that is their job to you as their patient ya know?i really do not have an answer for you,sorry.do you actually have an active case of shingles going on right now?i personally wouldn't think there would be an actual problem but then again,i am not a doc and don't have any real expertise in that area either.sorry.this is really something that your doc should be finding out for you,really.if not,at the very least he should be giving you some info on a person who you could speak to yourself,you know?but this responsibility really IS with him.i would ask him to find out for you.who is treating your PN?a neurologist may have a much clearer idea of whether this would be okay for you.thats about all i can think of off hand.sorry.i wish you luck in getting this answered properly i wish i could have given you better info.let me know just what you find out,K? marcia
