I occasionally get a sore spot in the back of my mouth/throat, on one side. It’s like, when I open my mouth, I can see on one side (I’m 90% sure it’s on a tonsil) a white dot like a pimple almost. A raised, white head type pimple dot.
For some reason it’s usually on the right side, and usually it’d come for no real reason. Sometimes I’d wonder if I may have burnt it on food or something and it was a reaction, but the last time it appeared (on the right side again), it was a single white dot, and it was moderately sore for 2 days before it vanished, and then I got a cold. This was about 5 weeks ago.
Now, for the past 1-2 days I’ve noticed another one, again on the right side. It’s again not overly sore, but just noticeable and I’m more concerned than actually troubled by it now. I don’t want to get another cold. Could it be some warning sign or something or an impending cold? Like, my tonsils are trying to fight off an infection (eg., cold) but then fail and I get sick? Or maybe in the past, when the dot appeared and then vanished and I didn’t get a cold, it was my immune system/tonsils successfully beating the impending cold?
Any advice here? Thanks!

That sounds like a fistula or a "tonsilith".
Basically, bacteria and food and stuff gets stuck in the crevices of your tonsil. I tend to get them when I'm really run down--the crevices kind of swell when you're run down and food and stuff gets stuck in there.
They aren't serious. You can ****** it and get some info. My brother swears that using mouthwash helps keep his away.
Hope that helps!

Thank you! That kind of makes sense. I don't think I'm run down...but I do think that I am always being bombarded by germs (mainly colds) cause people in my office are ALWAYS sick, and I hardly ever get sick, but do tend to occasionally get this sort of thing, so...meh.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

Well, an update on this is that I am 80% sure I'm now getting a cold AGAIN. I usually only get 1-3 colds a year, and I only had one 4-6 weeks ago, dammit!
STUPID GERMS! I never even know who gives them to me because despite the fact I work in an office and people are often sick, I don't ever catch anything, BUT I do just tend to get a cold from nowhere, some random person in the street or on the bus I guess. SO annoying. I'm not happy.
