aftera battle with teh hospital to release my results, i finally got them to faxa copy to my doctor, who discussed them with me this morning.

they still didnt tell him overly much: ie how deep they cut etc, but tehy told hime nough for me toa tleast knwo where i stand for now.

i had soem good news,a nd soem bad.

the good was that i am actually cinII as oppose to cinIII which teh pap test had indicated

the bad news is that i didnt get clear margins, and i am therefor likely to need further treatment in six months time :-(

my doctro is fuming at the hospital tho fro hwo tehy ahve messed aroudn with my results: as he said they have tos end copies to the doctors as if i moved house, tho my doctors records woudl be transfered teh hospital ones arent, so unless they send teh doctors copies my new district would know nothinga bout my treatment!

im filling up on vitamins,a nd folic acid now, trying tos ee if i can beat this thing myself!!!!!

Hi Becks!

Well that is good that it was "just" cinII but I'm sorry to hear that your margins weren't clear. Hopefully with your vitamin regimine you won't need to get further treatment in 6 months. Fingers crossed! I go for my follow up appointment later today but I don't expect to hear anything more than I already know. Hopefully things are healing well though!

Hi Becks
I wouldnt worry to much about the margins not being clear. I had clear margins and still had an abnormal follow up pap, but them went ahead and had a clear colpo and then FINALLY a normal pap. I have also read other posts by women who didnt get clear margins but went on to have normal paps. SO..im still at a loss as to how these tests are read but you're feeling better and you're going to start with vitamins and thats all you can do.

Try not to be overly concerned and take some relief in knowing that the CIN wasnt as high as originally thought.

Take care
~Lisa

I just want to second what Aryes said about trying not worry about not having clear margins. If you read my post about the fischer cone biopsy, you will see that my dr wasn't concerned if I didn't have clear margins, she just wanted to make sure that it had not spread up my cervix. I had CNIII. The procedure itself can kick your immune system into gear to clear remaining cells on its own. And, if the margins were CNII, many chose the wait and see approach.

thanks guys.

i know that this tiem round i'm not to wporried even if tehy decide to do a leep, its more the "oh i dont want to go through all this again" thought.

i'm now outside of my four weeks and still having to wear a pad for discaharge, and i got sick of being told off whenever i';d pick up several carrier bags at once, or go to muck the rabbits out.....i just wanted to lead a "normal" life.

still even if id o have to undergo treatment again i know its for teh best.

but hopefully thios new vitamin regeme will pull me through, i just need to keep all chirpy now: and witrh two holidays ahead of me (one sep,a nd one nov) and then christmas and new year i have no excus enot to!!!!!
