I was approved for disability the 14th of last mth, ihave direct deposite ,so i begin calling last wk. to check on my claim.I was appoved at the hearing. The answer they kept giving me was that judge has not put in writing or in the system yet.Today i called she told me that a disicon had been made, but she did not tell me what it was,i told her i was approved at the hearing.I ask her did it say that i had signed up for direct deposit, she could not tell me that either so she ask me did i want to sign up direct for deposit now ,i did again just to make sure, so she said that she would send it ss in my home town. Then she told me that i would get a phone call from ss for another interveiw an i should get my letter in 3wks.why would i have another interview. Is it because i applied for ssi also, and since the judge has put it in writing how long should i have to wait before my money hit the bank.I really don't think that the person on the phone can tell you any thing concerning the judge's decsion any way over the phone. Anyone have any opinion on this. thanks warlock

Sorry, I don't have an answer but I was also told I have to go through another interview. I have no idea why. My hearing was on Jan.30 and I still do not have my letter nor my money. When you find out, please let me know. Thanks, Belle

I'm pretty sure that the second interview is just to make sure they have your correct address and bank info. They also need to set up your tax deductions and find out if you have any eligible dependents who will also get a check. Sounds like you have been approved! Good luck!
