anyone here tried to use the ear candles to remove wax? has it helped at all? i'm willing to try anything at this point to clear out the full feeling in my ear-like air can't even get through. everyone i've talked to seems to have full faith in this...but i've not heard anything about it helping with dizziness, which i'm still having daily. anyone?

I read about Ear Candling, and what I have read says it all seems to be a hoax. The only thing that the ear candling can possibly do (IF IT WOULD WORK), is clear out tyhe outer canal of was, which I doubt is what is causing your fullness if your on the inner ear boards. There are drops you can buy to do the same thing....
I think the test they did was one ear they put the candle in, the next they burnt it in no ear.. BBoth returned the same stuff.....
Also, I have heard stores (online) of people damaging their drums and so on from the hot wax falling on the drum.
Anyway, this is more of a question for the other ear board... If was is your culprit, an ENT will just flush it, or pull it out.

good to know, thanks!:) it just seems like the ENT and neurotologists just want to give me drugs and won't give me any answers at all---so i guess i'm just desperate!:(

Hi Alex
Not a good idea---The Bottom Line---Candling is both ineffective and dangerous.....
U can go here: (from Northwestern Univ web site in "Sticky")
http://www.dizziness-and-balance.com/disorders/hearing/wax2.html
As for the dreams/night sweats---the vestibular injury---can cause---these---depending on which part of the inner ear is injuried......
