Greetings,

I am usually a lurker on this page, reading everyone's experiences and identifying with almost everything that is said. I appreciate this board and come to it often--- two or three times a day. I check other boards and since I am at work, I often do not have time to post. Today my students are taking their finals so there is time to write.

I do feel that it's time to just put it out there, that recovery comes in many forms for many people.

Everyone goes at their own pace . There are many stops on the journey.

We stumble and fall and get back up again and we fall and we do things to mess ourselves up because we are all human, whether we are sober or not. We make wrong decisions. We are not perfect.

As it is said, progress not perfection.

This board is a community, an opportunity to cyber interact and to be supportive. I just wanted to remind people of that. We are all in this together.

Be well.

Hey StressedTeacher,

I agree with you totally!

We are all perfectly imperfect. I stumble and make poor choices or react in a not so good way sometimes but the progress is that I am able to recognize these things and work on them.
What a gift that is!!!
I just wanted to put it out there that I enjoyed your post and agree.

I stay clean and sober by continuing on a spiritual path. If some others do it a different way...yeah for them too!!!

I get the chance to work on myself everyday and I feel it is a gift to have an open mind and to be teachable so that I can Progress instead of Regress.

Anyway thanks for your post.
Chrissy
