Hi,
Just checking in after taking a sleep deprvied EEG in which I was up 26 hours (couldn't nap). I did the open, close eyes, lights flashing, and 4 minutes of hyperventilating breathing (God!)
I did not get a seizure or anything but just felt really hyper or weird when the lights were flashing. She wanted me to sleep for a few minutes but I could not. She said there was too much tension in my eyes that she could see.
So after 29 hours of being up, I got home, took a Xanax (or two) and started dozing nicely. Then I woke up after 2 1/2 hours and was WIDE awake. I got up and literally did 3 loads of wash, got that crap out of my hair, dishes, cleaning like NON STOP and I am still hyper, almost slurry. (Don't have BP). Could that be a reaction from being up too long? Like throwing my body off. I don't need another mental issue added to the list.
Also some advice? I took today off of work but don't know how I'm gonna get back to normal for tomorrow. I have 2 vacation days (but we have to sign on a house soon- so tug tug between my instinct and my husband saying "save your time"). Should I take another day off to get back to normal. Last time I didn't sleep, got a couple hours late, I ended up having a seizure around 4 pm. Anyone? Thank you!!!
