I was diagnosed with stage 3b cervical cancer in January..Since then I have gone through radiation 5 days a week for 8 weeks and chemo for 8 weeks..Then in March I had radiation implants twice..June 13 I was told that my cancer was gone.. I know this is good news, but I can't help but feel alittle pesimistic..I go to the doctor tomorrw to have the stent removed from my kidney and I am so scared. I am told they do it right in the office..that scares the heck out of me..the last couple of days I have had pain in my back..the same pain that sent me to the hospital in January when I was diagnosed..Hopefully the pain is from the stent and nothing else.. will post results when I find out.....Have a great night everybody!!

kat you are so brave i am just starting my road to recovery i have stage 1b1 cervical cancer i have to go in hospital on monday for a lymph node biopsy then if they are clear a hysterectomy on thursday if not radio it is some comfort to no you are still well wish you all the best

well..I went to my urologly appt. yesterday and they couldn't remove my stent because they weren't sure if there was any fluid there..Now I have to go into the hospital Aug.21 so they can put me to sleep and inject dye into my kidney...then really late last night I had some light bleeding..I don't know what to think now.. I'm hoping the bleeding and the back pain is from the stent and nothing else..either way I have a call into my oncologist...(who by the way has the best bedside matter ever..) so, that was my day!!
