Not exactly sure where to post this..
I've always heard that Vitamin E is good with reducing the appearance of scars. I'm currently having an acne/acne scarring problem. I'm using Fruit of the Earth Vitamin E Skin Care Cream. I've also started taking Vitamin E pills. I've heard of people poking a hole in Vitamin E pills and dabbing the liquid on scars. Anyone try this? Would taking the pill regularly help with scars? Is there such a thing as too much Vitamin E?!

Mederma Cream is better for scars, works great!! Can't see the carpal tunnel scars on my wrists.
Yes, you can take too much Vitamin E. I took 800 IU for several years and then had restless legs. Stopped taking Vitamin E and restless legs stopped. Tried taking it again later and same thing. Apparently I had reached my tolerance level for Vit. E.

Misty- Thanks for the reply!
I'm suddenly reading a lot about Mederma. I'm definitely gonna pick some up and give it a try. I checked out a site and the active ingredient in Mederma is Cepalin, which is not in the Fruit of the Earth Vitamin E cream I'm using.
The Vitamin E I'm taking is Nature Made, 400 I.U. I take it once each morning. I'll see how it goes.
Thanks again. Take care!!
