I got th e results of my labs today, over the phone. The Gastro nurse said that she will mail them to me after the Dr. sees them. She said that my AST and ALT levels were high. I can't remember the AST number, but my ALT was 71, with the range being 0-28. Should I be concerned with this number? My liver enzymes are always high, but this is the highest yet.
Thanks!

My AST was 87 last week. Tested the blood again and it was normal. Something I ate??

Liver enzymes can fluctuate, particularly AST and ALT. Alcohol consumption can rase AST and GGT but does not clearly indicate liver damage. You should at least request an ultrasound of your liver to make sure.

I agree with the ultrasound. That should be the first thing done, following the high lab results. If the levels continue to be high (or higher) then a liver biopsy would be next on the agenda.
