Does anyone else have a baby that doesnt want to eat her solid foods? My 16 Mo doesnt like to eat at all she will take her bottle and eat litle crakers and things but when it comes to seriously eating its a major chore, I took her morning bottle away and afternoon because I heard this would make them eat but no luck.. Im worried about her getting the right vitamins from the food.

Is this something new or has it been a problem from the start with solids? Could she be cutting teeth? Does she seem like she has problems with certain textures of food? Does she avoid touching anything that is wet?

She has always been like this ever since I started introducing solid foods she will take her cereal only if I stick it in a bottle. She gags on some things but her dr said its her just getting use to the textures of the foods.

DS hated jarred food, so I made my own baby food, then he started hating that. one night I decided to just go ahead and gring up some table food, he loved it.
Now he is in a phase where if he doesn't feed himself he doesn't want it.
So, he is on all table food and still nurses 5-6 times a day. And I give hiim little bits of soft food to eat himself, while I shovel the rest in.
For breakfast, I make 1/4 of quaker oats and mash 2-3 slices of pears into it, I use 2 spoons one for me and one for him.
for lunch, he does pretty well if I make a piece of toast and put cream cheese on it, then break it into tiny cubes, and I usually give him some fruit too, both of these he feeds himself.
Dinner is whatever we are having, unless it is hotdogs or similar, then I give him pasta that I prepared and froze into small portions.
perhaps your DD wants to feed herself? Or maybe she doesn't like the texture? OR it could be the flavoring, DS loves garlic and pepper!
