with the guy im with right now..
he never knew he had herpes until i had
an outbreak. but before i found out
i had herpes i had gave my boyfriend
oral sex. does that mean im going to have HSV-1
soon?? i havent had any symptoms or anything
and havent seen anything there. and i dont
wanna ask my dr to check!

hey i had an outbreak a year ago after i split up with a guy i was seeing and was furious! but he never had an outbreak and didnt know he was carrying aswell:-s it lies dormant in the body and i thnk being stressed out triggers an attack.try not to worry as for hsv 1 usually 90% get one outbreak and never experience it again, abit like chickenpox. if you are unfortunate enough to get a 2nd time it wont be as painful and as noticeable.im talking about genital herpes by the way, not coldsore type virus.as for oral sex its fine to give someone oral sex who is carrying the virus ASLONG AS THEY ARE NOT HAVING AT OUTBRREAK!! so aslong as the person doesnt have any lumps, infested sores that can transmit the infection into your mouth/body you should not catch anything.if the person has got arash or is experiencing an outbreak and you give them oral sex you will most likely catch it and have coldsores. dont be embarasses to go to your doctor jus see a female they deal with this stuff everyday and wont bad an eyelid beleive me, or go to an s.t.i clinic it feels embarassing but its the thought of going there once you do it you will wonder why you ,made such a fuss and feel much more at ease. and all the other people that are in the clinic with you are going thru EXACTLY the same thing, even worse maybe:-s look up this site called medicine.net they have loads of info in both hsv 1 and 2 and its really informative, take care

I was really scared because i just found out I had genital herpes and my parents were furious! and now i just remember i gave oral sex and i dont want to end up with hsv-1? and now have both herpes. I would be misreable! but thank you for answering my question i feel more reliefed now. and now i know why he hasnt had an outbreak yet. that got me mad too because i got the outbreak and he hasnt got nothing yet. but thank you very much!

alot of people pass on herpes cos they have it lying dormant and are unaware but theyve still got it.he mit never have an outbreak but he mit do in 10 years time! it all depends on your immune system and stress:-s also hsv is the most common s.t.i ever and about 90% of people have it whether theyre aware of it or not its jus something that is with you forever but harmless.it can be quite distressing tho realising you first have it but once you read up more about it and as time goes on you will feel ok about it.now youve had genital herpes and the virus is in your body thats that you prob wont get another breakout and you wont get any coldsores or the hsv 2 on and around your mouth cos they are different types the genital and coldsore are different.but you can get hsv 2 from kissing on lips and oral so remeber to make sure neither one of you has a breakout either around your mouth or genitals(by the way im not sure if hsv1 is genitals or if its hsv 2?) but you know what i mean its either one of them but do try and look up info on net and maybe go to a swxual health clinic, good luck! xx
