I don't have any bowel movement problems typically...I don't get diareha I don't get constipated and additionally I rarely vomit or get sick to my stomach at all. But I'm 24 and ever since some time in high school every time I have a bowel movement it feels a little incomplete. Typically it's never that uncomfortable, but I just feel like there is a little more to go. My mom has IBS. I don't know if I have IBS or if this is something different? Literally there are never any changes in my bowel movements and it's typically very easy to go, just when I'm done, it feels a little incomplete. Should I go to the doctor, any ideas what this is? I never thought about consoling a doc because I actually never think about it much...

Feeling like you have not eliminated completely is a common symptom of IBS but usually, if not always, it is accompanied by lots of pain, bloating, gas, spasm, constipation and diarrhea. One sympton on it's own like you've described may be nothing more than just a lack of good fiber in your diet. Perhaps you need to bulk up the stool a bit so that the whole system gets flushed out when you have a movement. In any case, if you don't have pain or dramatic bowel changes, it's probably not anything to worry about.
