Hello,
I was recently received my letter of Denial for SSD & SSI. The reason stated was this....

" The medical evidence shows additional information was needed to evaluate the severity of the impairmants. We sent you forms to complete about your daily activities to help us evaluate your abilities, but this information was not provided. Therefore, benefits are denied."

Well....I NEVER EVER received this letter from them, trust me if I had I would of sent it back asap!!! Who wouldnt??

How can they deny you because of that? I called my local office and the 800# and they both said the same thing to me, well...you will have to file for a hearing. They didnt bother checking to see if there was an error or anything. I then called a local attorney and asked for his advice which was basically, re-file....can I do that?

But most importantly, how can they just say I didnt respond to them and deny me?? Im so upset...this is driving me crazy....!! Is there a way to prove that I didnt receive this so called letter??

Any help would be greatly appreaciated....thanks in advance.

Hi!

I so understand your frustration! It happened to me once during the process, but they CALLED me and asked why I hadn't returned the forms they sent. I said, "WHAT forms?????" So, they resent them and it was NO problem.

I would call again and ask to speak to a supervisor. One thing I have found out when talking to just any rep is that they often don't know what they are talking about. Explain to a supervisor and then ask what they can do to reinstate you. Tell the person they NEVER called you, and ask why they didn't follow up. I KNOW they know that this happens sometimes, so why they didn't call baffles me. If they can't reinstate you, ask if you should refile. I have never heard of going to a hearing because they didn't receive paperwork. Hope this helps.

Hi ups,

The reference person I put down on my SSD app. recieved the paper work your talking about
example on paper work
How I get through on a daily basis?

what I can or cannot do that a normal person can do was on my letter that reference person was supposed to fill that out

The person you put down as a reference might have recieved the letter you did not get?
on your original application

Id appeal asap

The SS will pick at it
if they can

its just not right the stuff good people have to go through to get a meal or a roof oer their head all because of a disease

good luck

I got that paperwork with daily activities etc. I still got denied. They told me that I am able to stand and sit so I can work. They only contacted one doctor. I went to a lawyer to appeal. I think that is the only way to go. The lawyer said that they have 14 illnesses on a list. If you don't exactly fit into it then they deny you.
