Ive never had a cold sore so i have no idea if this is anything like that. But basically for a week and half ive had these tiny tiny bumps on the right top lip. now they seem to be spreading some to the bottom lip under it. Ive been with the same partner for over 2 years. These bumps look similar but smaller than the taste buds on your tongue. Thats the best way i could describe them. I have been a heavy chapstick user for several years..i dont know if that has anything to do with it. Sometimes it feels like its burning or flaking and some days it feels like its getting better. But there really annoying and others say there hard to see and they dont see anything but i feel and see them. But i really dont think its going away. Im scared, should i stop chapstick use and put something else on it and if so what should i use?

I don't know if you have oral herpes I think the best thing to do is to make an appointment with a or your Dr. to make sure of that you never want to leave it a question in your mind.

As for your chapstick if its not herpes or something of this sort maybe your allergic to the type of chapstick you are using so maybe even just switching to something different or not as strong would be better and help but everyone expereinces cold sores differently so I would say see your Dr. asap.
