View Full Version : Substitute of baby-shampoo in curing blepharitis?

Is there any substitute for baby shampoo for lid scrubs in blepharitis? I haven't tried it and I wouldn't perhaps be allergic to it but I'd have to mix it with water every day maintaining a certain ratio (which varies from 1:10 to 1:20, according to different online sources) while I'd like to have some liquid always ready.

Would NaCl solution (saline) be a good enough subsitute? Why is *shampoo* used for lid scrubs, after all?

Please do not offer the special wipes because it's too expensive for every day use.
