View Full Version : the "staring" problem

My daughter and I suffer from the same thing. It's really weird, but I've had it since I was a kid. We both call it the staring problem, because our eyes lock on some point in the distance (close or far away) and we can't move our eyes away from it. I've asked other people about it, and they always look at me like I grew another head. My sister has experienced it also. Does anyone know what it is? Also, I don't know if this is relevant or not, but I wear eyeglasses--I am myopic...so is my sister. My daughter just saw the eye doctor and he says she will need glasses, just for distance reading, for now. Is it related to this. Is it my ocular nerves just taking a break? I don't notice this when I read or am on the computer more than any other time. It's pretty random. Thanks!

Really? Anyone I've ever asked always acts like they have no idea what I mean. We should do a survey...LOL
