Hello I am trying to find out some info on ptosis or drooping of the upper eyelid. I am 24 years of age (male) and have always been active in sports, keeping healthy by working out, running etc... When I was a senior in high school I noticed I had a slighty lower, upper inner eyelid. It was very slight, and could only be noticed if observed closely. Now that I am older my eyebrows have thickened slightly more and the drooping of inner upper eyelid is more pronounced, not obscuring my vision but cosmetic in nature. I guess this could be defined as acquired ptosis? I attributted this as weakening of the elevator muscle in the left eye causing it to droop slightly more than my right in the inner eyelid. I began to try and research on cosmetic surgery and ptosis conditions. Then I found that many conditions can cause ptosis of the upper eye lid. Every once in a while I also have twitching muscles or I guess you could say spasms in muscles causing them to jerk when I am in a relaxed state. Twitching in biceps sometimes for a period of minutes, to neck muscles twitching causing my head to jerk, mildly. Sometimes if sitting my back muscles will twitch causing my upper torso to jerk. Also I have numbness of my left big toe fequently (don't know if this is related.) I am considering cosmetic surgery for eyelid drooping, but could this be syptoms of some type of neurological disorder, or diesease? Any information, redirections, or comments are appreciated.
