ashpie 09-08-2003, 11:11 AM for teh last month my eyes have been red bad upon waking and now they are puffy underneath..the eye doctor said it is allergies..anyone have same problem? xandrr 09-08-2003, 05:15 PM Have you had any other problems like dryness or sore eyelids? I've had the symptoms you mentioned also, and it has been going on for about a month. I can't seem to do anything to stop it, and since it goes and comes back (soreness is always there) as it pleases it's hard for me to tell what is helping it and what isn't. I did go to an allergist and they diagnosed me as having definte seasonal allergies (bear in mind if i did have allergies before, i never really had symptoms). But i have had the symptoms you mentioned for about a month now... ashpie 09-08-2003, 07:26 PM i also have the dryness bad...i wear contacts and the dryness is so bad I have to stop wearing them for a while..are your eyes always bloodshot...I'm afraid people are going to think I do drugs. xandrr 09-09-2003, 11:06 AM That's the stange think. I think my eyes have been very slightly red but not hardly at all. It's mainly dryness, rarely itching. The odd thing was i recently tried contacts (about two months ago) and the problems started about after a week of giving them up. I gave them up because of dryness and discomfort. Do you have other allergy symptoms? Like runny nose? My doc said I have post nasal drip, but my nose is very rarely runny. So it's odd, i'm skeptical about it being allergies because it only seems to be my eyes, but I guess that type of allergy is possible (according to allergist and opthamologist) |
